erik-n-kids-2016St. Paul’s has been an important part of my family’s life for nearly thirty years, and has been my spiritual bedrock since moving to Charlottesville in the mid 80’s. Along with both of my children, I was baptized and confirmed at the church by our former rector, Miller Hunter….at the ripe old age of 35. Although he struggled a bit while carrying me down the aisle, I only cried a little. I cried much more when Eric performed my wife’s funeral in 2013. During all the highs and lows of life, I could always depend on my fellow parishioners to stand by my side, and y’all continue to do so to this day. As we all know, it is the people that “make” a church, and in this regard we are all blessed to have one another.  I believe St. Paul’s is a special place, whether it be through our outreach and ministries locally or half-way around the world.  We care about those less fortunate than we, and demonstrate through our work that we love our neighbors as ourselves.
