Bible Study

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study meets in the parish hall every Wednesday (September-May) following the 9:30 a.m. service. We are continuing to study the Gospel according to St. Luke and will be starting in January with Chapter 11.

While this is an on-going study, drop-in’s are welcome at any time. There is usually a reading assignment provided a week in advance but attendance does not require this preparation.  Discussion is usually lively and spirited! The class is mentored by Canon Henry Minich. If you have any questions, please contact him or the church office.

The Classic Spiritual Disciplines of Lent: How can we observe Lent most fruitfully? Why do we do this at all?

There are great riches to be found in practices such as fasting, almsgiving, and penitence as preparations for the joy of Easter.

Join the Rev. Connie Clark as we study the Biblical bases for these practices as well as passages from Christian writers over the course of the millennia, and we’ll come up with contemporary ways to practice these disciplines to enrich our own spiritual lives.

Welcome to all women who desire learning opportunities, time for prayer and fellowship. Bring a Bible, a friend and enjoy leadership from the dynamic Rev. Connie. Childcare is available by advance request (drop-in childcare NOT available.) For more information, contact, Audi Barlow, by emailing spivybarlow@aol.com.
