Children and Youth Formation Committee
The mission of Youth Ministry at St. Paul’s Ivy is to embrace, support and educate youth and their families in a welcoming, safe and supportive community of spiritual growth. We strive to be a community of curiosity that invites young people into a lifelong journey and relationship with Christ and His Church while helping them discern God’s purpose for their lives
The Children and Youth Formation Committee’s purpose is to support and strengthen our ministries with children from birth through twelfth grade. These ministries include the nursery, Godly Play, SPIES (St. Paul’s Ivy Explorers), SPIMS (St. Paul’s Ivy Middle School), SPISH (St. Paul’s Ivy Senior High) and the Children’s Chapel program.
The committee’s responsibilities include encouraging and supporting the many staff and volunteers involved with all of our children and youth ministries. Committee members are encouraged to learn more about these ministries and to serve as points of connection between families with children and the broader congregation.
The committee has six members, each serving a three-year term. The Director of Children’s Formation and the Director of Youth Ministry are available to the committee for consultation and guidance.
