When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?  Psalm 8:3-4

What an amazing world we live in! Every day I look out at the animals in my front yard – the squirrels, rabbits and myriad of birds, not to mention the herds of deer that roam through. All so different yet all functioning.

How magnificent is this! I look at the seed pod of the magnolia outside my front door (If you’ve never seen one, find on.) with its intricate structure, brilliant red seeds and hairy fronds.

Sometimes, when I’m feeling despondent about a problem or situation I’m facing, one of God’s amazing creations comes to mind and I relax in the knowledge of God’s amazing power.

These times in which we live are fraught with unsettling unknowns. I take comfort in the knowledge that God is mindful of all of us, humans as well as other creatures, and is watching out for us.
