The Adult Choir of St. Paul’s, Ivy sings at 10:30 a.m. services each Sunday and at special services throughout the year. Under the direction of Alice Layman, the choir is open to all adults who enjoy singing and who are able to commit to attending rehearsals on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., before singing at the 10:30 a.m. service.  There is no choir during the summer months (June through August) but choir members are invited to sit in the loft to encourage lively congregational singing during that time. Once a year, the choir performs a major choral work with orchestra, and sings a Choral Evensong service on a Sunday afternoon twice each year.

The St. Paul’s Choir is a convivial group open to singers of all experience levels. We gather at Christmas for a caroling party and at the beginning of summer for end-of-year festivities. During the school year we often enjoy group birthday celebrations following Thursday rehearsal.
