Costumes 4 Kids

Dear Church Friends,

Last year was the inaugural year for my charity, Costumes 4 Kids collecting over 120 costumes and raising approximately $250 in funds. I’m excited to grow my  charity and this fall I will again be collecting new or used Halloween costumes and donations to help families who cannot afford to buy Halloween costumes for their child. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays and I want to make sure all children can dress up.

Collection boxes will be available at St. Paul’s, Ivy in early September. Costumes sizes needed are for infants through middle school age. Last year I partnered with Charlottesville’s City of Promise, local elementary schools and our St. Paul’s, Ivy Outreach clients to provide a “shopping” experience where families could chose costumes for their children. Costumes 4 Kids is a 501 (c)3 and we will provide receipts for cash donations. If you have questions please email cvillecostumes4kids@gmail.com.

I was honored this spring by the Diocese of Virginia’s selection as one of the Top 10 Under 20 youth recognizing me and the good works my charity provides. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support from my generous church. Thank you very much!
