Trinity Episcopal Church, Charlottesville and St. Paul’s, Ivy received a Mustard Seed Grant from the Diocese of Virginia, for the renovation of half of a duplex owned by Trinity Church. The once uninhabitable space became a very attractive living space for former resident families of our local domestic abuse shelter. This house required extensive repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, structural repairs, insulation, landscaping and painting. The two congregations joined together to provide the financing and many long hours of labor to make this dilapidated house into a welcoming home. The house is located across the driveway from Trinity at 1036 Preston Avenue, Charlottesville.
