The Worship Committee’s purpose and responsibilities

The SPI Worship Committee is committed to providing meaningful worship experiences for our members and visitors. The worship committee exists to provide guidance for what happens during our worship times. Its role is to examine all our various worship experiences and make recommendations to the rector for ways that each can be strengthened and improved. We serve in an advisory role to the rector. Worship committee meetings are open to all.

Functions of the Worship Committee

• To oversee any matters that pertain to the overall worship experience.
• To foster coordination among the various ministries and guilds that serve worship.
• To give study to ways that worship can be more inclusive for all.
• To gather input from the congregation about its worship preferences.
• To develop a philosophy of worship for our church.
• To make recommendations to the rector about worship.

Worship Committee Members

The Worship Committee shall consist of members who represent the various ministries and guilds that serve to assist and enhance our worship celebrations as well as various parishioner demographics, such as young families, singles, and new members of our faith community.
