Pastoral Care: Caring for Our Friends, Families and Neighbors
As Christians we are called to love the world, and one another. The members of St. Paul’s, Ivy place a high priority of this kind of care. Clergy make regular visits to those who are in nursing home and homebound, as well as responding to hospitalizations and other emergencies. We also have a teams of lay people who practice pastoral care. Our Caring Friends adopt homebound members and make regular visits. Friends with Flowers deliver Sunday floral arrangements to those who need some cheer and a friendly face. Lay Eucharist Ministers bring communion to those who cannot attend Sunday Services for any reason. If you would like to receive pastoral care in any form, please contact the church office.
2 Corinthians 1:4
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
