Miller has been rector of St. Paul’s, Ivy since February 1994. He graduated from the General Theological Seminary in New York and served at the Cathedral Church of the Advent prior to his call to St. Paul’s, Ivy.

Shelby has been at St. Paul’s, Ivy since August, 2007. Her primary responsibilities include Christian Education, and she is the liaison to the Spiritual Growth Committee. She is a 2005 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria.

Will coordinates youth ministry and serves as the clergy liaison to IMPACT, among other duties at St. Paul’s. A lifelong member of the Diocese of Virginia, he is a graduate of the General Theological Seminary in New York City, and has served at St. Paul’s on a ten-month-per-year basis since 2006. From mid-June to mid-August, he works for the Diocese of Virginia as the director of St. George’s Camp at Shrine Mont.

Alice has been the Choir Director and Organist at St. Paul’s, Ivy since 2000. She is a member of the American Guild of Organists (Dean, Charlottesville Chapter, 2007-2008) and of the Choral Directors Association. Alice graduated from Hollins College in 1974 with a major in music (organ performance); she studied organ there with Dr. James Leland. In 1977, she received a Masters of Music degree (organ performance) from the University of Kentucky; her teacher was Dr. Arnold Blackburn. Subsequently, she studied with Bruce Stevens and Richard McPherson. Alice has taught music in the St. Anne’s Belfield Lower School in Charlottesville since 1992.

Our Associate Organist/Choir Director attended James Madison University where he studied with George Hicks and Dr. Richard McPherson. His other teachers included Jeryl Powell, Bruce Stevens and Dr. Elizabeth Melcher. He is married to Joanna Dickson Sivley and has a daughter Kelley, a student at Burley Middle School. He is also employed as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Virginia Health System.

Debbie is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in musicology. Her life-long interest in music is evinced in her participation in numerous high school singing groups, the U.Va Women’s Chorus and University Singers, the Charlottesville Light Opera Company, the Board of the Charlottesville-University Symphony and the St. Paul’s, Ivy Adult Choir. She re-established the Youth Choir in 1997.
