Enjoy three days of rest, fun, and fellowship with your SPIVY family from June 9–11 (one weekend earlier than usual) at Shrine Mont, the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia’s glorious retreat center in Orkney Springs, just an hour and a half from Ivy. Shrine Mont is indeed “a place apart” that offers something for everyone.
The weekend begins Friday evening with a cookout, field games, and fellowship around a campfire. There is plenty of free time to enjoy doing as you like: there are hiking trails, gardens, a labyrinth, fishing ponds, playgrounds, a fantastic pool, tennis, and cottage porches made for enjoying a book or afternoon nap! Your time is only interrupted by the ringing of a bell to announce that breakfast, 
lunch, or dinner is ready for you to enjoy family style in the dining hall. Saturday evening includes a St. Paul’s, Ivy reception, and ice cream social/game night. And on Sunday morning we’ll worship together at the Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration, the open-air cathedral of the Diocese of Virginia, consecrated in 1925. The St. Paul’s, Ivy group stays in the coveted cottages, nestled on the hillside near the beautiful Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration. Most rooms have private baths and we take care to place singles, couples and families in comfortable and suitable surroundings.
What will a weekend at Shrine Mont cost?
Adult single occupancy ($200/per person)
Adult double occupancy ($140/per person)
Family occupancy (2 adults, one or more children/youth, $420)
Individual child/youth (ages 4–18, $50/per person)
Children under 4 years old (no charge)
When can I register?

Shrine Mont is located in Orkney Springs, Virginia, about an hour and a half drive north of Ivy. To reach Shrine Mont, travel north on I-81 to Mt. Jackson (Exit #273). Turn right onto Rt. 703 (East), then right (South) on US 11, follow through town, turn right on Rt. #263 and follow approximately 13 miles to Orkney Springs.
