Other Ministries and Programs for Children and Youth
St. Paul’s offers a Children’s Sunday every second Sunday of the month. On these Sundays, children will be invited to participate in the regular 10:30am service, and hear a special children’s homily. Throughout the year we will continue to offer Children’s Chapel at the 10:30am service on the first, third and fourth Sundays of the month. Children ages 4 and up are invited to leave the sanctuary early in the service for an age-appropriate worship experience including a children’s homily. Children return during the Peace to celebrate the Eucharist with their families.
The Children’s and Youth Choirs at St. Paul’s are open to singers from pre-K through grade 12th. Rehearsals are Wednesdays throughout the school year. If you are interested in joining the Children’s or Youth Choir at St. Paul’s, please contact Director of Children and Youth music, Dr. Elizabeth Joyner. All are welcome in our Children’s Choir programs!
Interested young people are welcome to become acolytes. Acolytes serve an important role on Sunday mornings at both the 8:15am and 10:30am services. Acolytes have ample opportunity for training throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, please contact Bruce Sullivan, acolyte master.
