I will protect those who know my name.
Psalm 91:14

My life changed dramatically recently, creating a new way of living for me. New crossroads, new challenges, new attitudes, new adventures. Which path will I take…and how will I find guidance? “Because he loves me” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him,” Psalm 91:14, a promise from the Old Testament. How am I “protected”…in my day to day living while walking the dog, driving my car, eating my meals? Or is this a deeper protection, a life line while I adjust, search, and make a new life?

Will I be like those on the boat in Mark’s story, terrified, uncertain, with a hardened heart? Or will I have the faith and courage to “touch even the edge of His cloak” (Mark 6:56), and have faith that he will heal, protect, and guide me to new beginnings?

Thanks be to God.
