Save the Date: Janet McKenzie Art Exhibit | October 29 – November 2

Artist Janet McKenzie’s exhibit Hope and the Feminine Spirit will feature twenty icons of the Holy Family and Saints that reflect the diversity of the whole human family. The display will be in the St. Paul’s, Ivy Parish Hall and Neve Hall from October 29 to November 2.

McKenzie came to prominence when her work “Jesus of the People” was selected First Place winner of the National Catholic Reporter’s global competition, Jesus 2000. In 2013, McKenzie collaborated with Sister Joan Chittister on her book The Stations of the Cross: The Path to New Life. McKenzie’s iconography invites the viewer to meditate on her subjects, and be reminded that God created us equally in His likeness and that all persons carry the light of Christ in this world.
