Education for Ministry (EfM) is an adult education offering for those who wish to go deeper in their understanding of the Old & New Testaments, church history and theology. In weekly meetings the group members study and reflect on how Christianity developed, how our experience of religious life has formed us, and how our faith transforms us today. The four year curriculum is provided by the University of the South School of Theology at Sewanee, with trained mentors in the group experience of theological reflection, with group size limited to 12. Registration for EfM begins on July 1 for the 2020-2021 program year. Registration is for one year at a time, and because there is a new curriculum, past EfMers are welcome to take any year they wish. The two new Interlude books bring all 4 years together for common study. For more information about this opportunity for inquiry and discussion in a supportive small group, contact Debbie Scott.
