We want your visit to St. Paul’s, Ivy to be a joyful experience for every member of your family. Here are some tips to help your family’s next trip be a success:
• Pick up a worship bag filled with quiet activities on your way in.
• Sit near the front, where children can see what’s happening without a sea of adults in front of them.
• Help your child understand what’s going on by explaining parts of the service and actions of the participants to your child.
• Sing the hymns, pray out loud, and voice the responses. This is a great way to introduce the liturgy to children.
• All children are welcome to join the procession to Children’s Chapel at the beginning of the service. They’ll be back just in time to take Communion with you.
• We welcome children — wiggles, giggles, and all — to remain in the church for the entire service. However, if you or your child need a break, please feel free to come and go as you like. Please know that we understand you are the experts when it comes to your children – and we trust your judgment!
• Check out the new Wiggly Worship Corner in the Parish Hall. It’s a great spot to take a break, and you’ll be able to keep up with the worship service broadcast on the TVs.
