Baptism: Jack & Maggie Gillespie-Nussbaum
The Gillespie-Nussbaum family have asked us to baptize their children, Jack and Maggie, on May 12. I don’t see any conflicts on the calendar, so please let me know if there is an issue with the date. They’ll have lots of family already in town and are excited to have them attend.
Abby has also asked if we might be able to baptize her nieces, Clara and Annie, who live with her brother and his wife in Richmond. (They are looking for a church home now.) I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t. We could do a baptismal prep session over Zoom.
Please let me know your thoughts, and Mary, if possible, please hold the date on the calendar. I’ll be sending them the baptism form.
With thanks,
Amanda+

HiJane,
Mary shared that you rang the office to confirm the youth plans for pizza dinner on May 19th.
If you are still willing to provide thislovely opportunity, I’d like to offer it as a special treat to wrap up the program year, celebrate Pentecost and combine the evening prayer participants with the youth in this special way.
LMK if anything changes, but I’m planning on it.🤩

Yes, let’s plan to have them on Sunday, May 19. I’ve shared this with Justin and he thinks this is fabulous. We’re both very appreciative of your generosity and creative idea!
Hmmmm, no plans to choose my own grandmother name. I’m hoping the little one will pick something weirdand different. As the first born grandchild I chose my grandparents names and they were Mamoo and Gigi for grandmothers, Poppy and Pop for grandfathers.
What do your grandchildren call you and Bill? Hope your travels aregoing well. See you when you get back.

Hi Audi,
They are already booked on April 14. Can we schedule May 19 please? Also, what time do the youth show up so I can give them a start time?
Also, can you let Justin know so that the Evening Prayer schedule will line up?
We are in South Carolina on our way to Florida. We will see you in March, Grandma!! (What do you want to be called and when is the baby due?)
Best,
Jane

Hi Jane,
This ALL sounds great! Truthfully, I will not require much additional adult helpers if you and Bill join me and Kevin. This is an exceptionally well behaved bunch! But of course, I won’t turn any volunteers away.😉
Would April 14th work for you? If not then, I suggest we consider doing it as an end of the program year sort of thing (think treat, or ‘end the year with a bang’) SO in that case, I would suggest Sunday, May 19.
Thank you so much for offering this unique opportunity. I know everyone involved would REALLY appreciate it!
With appreciation, Audi
PS- I don’t mind if the adults have wine available. My only request is that it is offered at a separatebeverage station… simple enough to figure out.

Hi Audi,
Slice University, Aaron Hill, is up for the event.
Bill and I are out of town all of February and ALL our Sunday evenings are out in March, except Easter.😑
April 7 and 14 work and, so far, we have nothing in May. Would any of those dates work for you? Of course, we don’t have to be there but I thought that a few more adults might help.
So, if we can come up with a date, can you recruit a few extra adults or I can try.
Can you take care of the drinks? Do you mind if the adults from the 5:30 Evening Prayer have wine? We can provide the wine and we will pay for the pizza folks.
I hope this event works out!
Best,
Jane
