Swim and paddle at Sherando Lake. Bring boats and paddle boards if you have them; a few extra kayaks and gear will be available to borrow. Meet at the Church at 8:30 a.m. to carpool or meet at the swimming beach on the main lake at 9:15 a.m.. Bring picnic supplies. There is also a nice trail to hike around the lake. There is an $8 fee per vehicle if you don’t have an interagency annual park pass.

Join us for this time of quiet, prayer, reflection on scripture, and soothing music. This service of Evening Prayer lasts about 30 minutes and does not include Holy Eucharist. It’s a great opportunity to be still and center yourself in God before your busy week begins. Casual fellowship follows this service in Neve Hall. All ages are welcome.

Inquire now about the Education for Ministry (EfM) group for 2024-2025. This adult education course offers study of the Old & New Testaments, church history and theology in a four year program provided by the University of the South School of Theology at Sewanee, and features their trademark theological reflection. Trained mentors Charley Chabot and Debbie Scott meet with this group in the parish hall at SPI on Mondays, 9:30 am-11:45 am. The group is open to other churches/denominations and enriched by their participation. Please contact the mentors for more information, and meet them after the 10:30 service for lemonade and cookies on August 18. Contact Debbie Scott () or Charley Chabot () about joining this group (limit of 12) or an evening group that is forming.
