Music is an integral part of our worship at St. Paul’s Ivy. We strive for a musical life in which all can participate fully, that draws deeply from its roots and that branches out to “sing a new song.” Here are ways you can encounter God through beautiful music at St. Paul’s, Ivy:
Sundays, 8:15 a.m. | Rite I Holy Eucharist with Instrumental Music
This service features music from our Schoenstein pipe organ (2005), piano, and other instruments on occasion.
Sundays, 10:30 a.m. | Rite II Holy Eucharist with Choirs and Hymns
In addition to music from our organ and piano, our 10:30 service also features anthems from our Parish Choir, congregational hymns from the Anglican musical tradition and other beloved Christian hymns, as well as seasonal offerings from our Children’s Choir
Sundays*, 5:30 p.m. | Contemplative Evening Prayer with Celtic-style Music
Come and prepare yourself in scripture and contemplation for the week ahead with our clergy and our friends The Ivy Consort, a local Celtic music trio. (Please note, this service runs during our program year only.)
Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. | Holy Eucharist with Healing Prayers and Classical Guitar
This meditative service not only offers the opportunity to ask for healing prayers for yourself and your loved ones, but also features stunningly beautiful classical guitar music played by our very own Fr. Rick Lord.
